Yoga for PCOS treatment and hormonal Imbalance

Baddhakonasana or Butterfly pose 

How to perform 

  1. Sit on the mat and put your legs straight in front of you.
  2. Now fold your right leg and left leg.
  3. Place your heels in the center and join feet together.
  4. You now have to bring your hands together and interlock your fingers. 
  5. Hold your feet with interlocked palms.
  6. Make sure that you are sitting with your spine straight.
  7. At this stage sit straight and engage your abdomen.
  8. Keep your attention on your breathing.
  9. Stay in this position for five to ten breaths.
  10. At last, put your legs straight and relax.

Supta Baddhakonasana or Reclined Butterfly Pose

How to perform

  1. Take two yoga blocks or pillows and place them on the mat.
  2. Now sit on the mat and straighten your legs.
  3. Place your elbows on the mat.
  4. At this point take your upper body backward and lie on the back.
  5. Your first block should be under your shoulders.
  6. Your second block should be under your neck.
  7. Fold your legs and place your heels in the center.
  8. Join feet together in such a way that the heels should be opposite to each other.
  9. Now keep your right hand on your heart center and keep your left and over your abdomen.
  10. Make sure you take deep breaths and feel them.
  11. After this, you can release the posture and sit on the mat.

Ustrasana or Camel Pose

How to perform

  1. Fold your legs beneath your hips and sit in vajrasana.
  2. Now stand over your knees.
  3. Keep a gap of six inches between your knees.
  4. Now keep your hands on your back to give support.
  5. After this, push your upper body backward.
  6. Keep your chest up and your chest should be in the direction of the skyline.
  7. Drop your head at the back.
  8. To do a complete camel pose, hold your right heel with the right hand,  hold your left leg with the left hand.
  9. At this point, do not lean your hips back instead hold them firmly.
  10. Drop your hand slowly at the back.
  11. At last, to release this posture go into child pose and relax.

Shalabhasana or Locust Pose

How to perform

  1. You have to lie over a mat in such a way that your back should face the skyline., touch your chin to the ground and take two deep breaths.
  2. Now tuck your hands straight under your pelvic area.
  3. Inhale, meanwhile take your right leg up.
  4. Try not to bend the leg.
  5. Exhale, put leg down.
  6. Inhale, similarly take your left leg up.
  7. Exhale, put the left leg down too.
  8. Now if you are comfortable then you may take both of your legs up.
  9. At last, release the posture.
  10. Finally, lie down on the floor in savasana.

Prasarita Padottanasana or Wide-Legged Forward Bend

How to perform

  1. Stand still and maintain a wide gap between your legs.
  2. At this stage, you have to tuck your fingers ( pigeon toes ) in.
  3. Your body weight must be distributed on the mount of your legs.
  4. Your arch and knees caps will be lifted.
  5. Inhale deeply, and take your hands sideways up.
  6. Make your spine straight meanwhile do a forward bend in this posture.
  7. Try to touch the ground or hold your finger toes.

PCOS or PCOD is a very common syndrome in women. Exercise and natural food products help in maintaining and coping with PCOS. This natural treatment of PCOS may take time but it will provide brilliant results in the long run.
